Barely a week after Warri-Itakpe train mishap in Kogi forest in which 148 passengers and 30 crew members escaped death, another train on Kaduna-Abuja corridor is reported to have derailed from its track on Friday.
it was gathered that Abuja-Kaduna Train Service, derailed at Kubwa, Abuja on Friday afternoon leaving hundreds of passengers stranded.
At the time of filing this report, the immediate cause of the derailment was not known. Many passengers were however seen wondering around the derailed train.
The Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), Engr. Fidet Okhiria confirmed the incident but said he was just trying to obtain more information on the incident.
