On Sunday, tragedy struck when Emilia Phillips, her children, and niece were reportedly burned to death in Kaduna while they were deep asleep.
According to sources, the horrible incident took place on the night of February 21st.
Mr. Sunday Phillips, the family’s patriarch, died in August 2021, according to the woman and her children.
Confidence Shammah, a woman who goes by the name Confidence, shared the terrible story on Facebook, writing:
“Oh, God, show us how to count our days!”
“May God send eternal rest to your lovely souls, my dearest Emilia Philips. My kids and nieces all burned while sleeping. The entire home is gone. What a tragedy!”
“Take courage, my dear friend Cordelia Echuku Audu; God knows best, and may he offer you and your family the strength to suffer this great loss.” It’s all right, sweetheart!!!”
Sadly, Emilia’s husband, Sunday Philip, died six months before the incident, according to her. In August 2021, he slumped and died.
The mother, three children, and two additional deceased have subsequently been laid to rest in accordance with Christian rituals in the state, according to the Guild.
