President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to Mr. Bassirou Diomaye Faye on his election as the President of Senegal.
In a statement by his spokesman, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the president expressed optimism in President-elect Faye’s ability to lead Senegal effectively.
He also commended President Macky Sall for overseeing a peaceful and transparent election, noting that the successful elections in Senegal and Liberia is evidence of democracy’s strong roots in West Africa.
As the Chairman of ECOWAS, President Tinubu stressed the importance of Senegal’s successful election in promoting peace and constitutional order in the region. He also assured the people of Senegal of Nigeria’s support and best wishes.
