Nollywood star Dayo Amusa has voiced her dismay at the recent awarding of ‘Best Dressed Female’ to transgender personality, Bobrisky at a movie premiere in Lagos.
Bobrisky, known for his controversial presence, was crowned the ‘Best Dressed Female’ at a movie premiere in Lagos, receiving a cash prize of N1 million.
In a video posted on Instagram, Amusa expressed her disapproval, stating that while anyone could win, she felt a crossdresser should not have been chosen. She questioned the judges’ decision, feeling it undermined the efforts of the women present.
Amusa further said that if there was a desire to honor crossdressers, a separate category should have been created rather than disrespecting women by awarding a crossdresser the title of ‘Best Dressed Female.’
Bobrisky, who has openly shared his gender transition journey, recently expressed satisfaction with the process, stating that it was smooth and without health complications. He thanked his medical team, both in Nigeria and abroad, for their support in his transition into femininity.
