The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has warned Nigerians to prepare effectively for flood in the year 2023.
NEMA stated that it could not yet assertain the extent of the rainfall for the year but flood would surely come.
The agency therefore adviced all Nigerians to take necessary precautions to minimize loss of lives and properties.
It would be recalled that apart from the thousands of people that sustained various degrees of injury during 2022 flood, over 600 people lost their lives and properties worth several billions of naira were destroyed.
