The Women’s Rights’ and Health Project, an activity under a non- government organisation, Ireti Resource Centre, recently held a town hall meeting sequel to overwhelming reports of incessant sexual and gender based violence in Alimosho, the largest local government area in Lagos State.

The event which held at the Meiran Community Town Hall, Agbado, Oke Odo was attended by government officials, representatives of women’s groups, the media and the menfolk.

The event was one of the town hall meetings held in each of the six LCDAs in Alimosho Local Government planned and organised by WRAHP with support by the EU funded Rule of Law and Anti-corruption (RoLAC) programme managed by the British Council in Nigeria.

WRAHP’s representative at the event and Resource Assistant at the Ireti Resource Centre, Nneoma Ezuma, in an interview with FirstNigeriaTV’s Ojomo, Olusegun Adebambo, spoke on the mandate and commitments of the centre, the intention of the project and other pertinent issues.
