Equivalent degree of pageantry accompanied the recent official commissioning of the Indoor Hatchery of the Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries, University of Ilorin, Nigeria, proudly donated by the institution`s 1988 Agriculture Students Set.
The event which held on 21st May, 2022 at the Agriculture and Fisheries Farm, behind Unilorin Water, had in attendance members of the Unilorin academia, government officials, religious/community leaders and a fantastic representation of the 1988 Agriculture Students Set.
Highlights of the historic event included:
-The official commissioning and opening of the Indoor Hatchery.
-Presentation of Awards to officials of the 1988 Agriculture Set viz:
Life President Award to Dr. Augustina Olajumoke Ojo.
Distinguished Leadership Award to Deacon Emmanuel Osagie Odiase.
Award of Recognition to Alhaji Afis Bolanle Kasim.
Award of Recognition to Alhaji Tunji Aliyu Ajanaku.
Veterans of the academia under whose tutelage the Agriculture 1988 set students evolved, including Professor Job Olu Atteh(rtd.) and Professor Luke Kolade Ayorinde, Vice Chancellor, Thomas Adewunmi University, Oko, Kwara State, were also present to add greatness to the occasion.
