The Senate of the University of Lagos has said that, the alleged removal of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos; Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, cannot stand.
The Senate who spoke through the Former Dean of Law, Professor Chioma Agomo, said that, the status quo must remain and the Council cannot rewrite the rule of law.
According to Prof. Agomo, although, the Council has every right to remove anyone, due process must be followed. She stressed that the rule of law must not be trampled upon.
