The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, has taken a swipe at the ill-treatment of Nigerians in China, warning that such should stop. He handed down the warning at a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Zhou Pingjian, confronting him with the protest video of an incident where a Nigerian was seen challenging Chinese officials over the maltreatment.
Viral videos from Beijing showed Nigerians being forced out of their houses and hotels, rounded up and their passports seized by the Chinese police, prompting the Speaker to complain of the inhuman treatment of Nigerians which he said must be addressed forthwith.
