Video: Nigerian Law School 1985 Set honours former LSHA Speaker Rt. Hon. Jokotola Pelumi

At the recently held 2022 Annual Reunion of the 1985 set of the Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos, distinguished legal practitioner and former Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jokotola Abdulwaheed Pelumi was honoured with the award of distinction in legal practice, excellence in law making/reforms and recognition of contribution to the advancement of law/jurisprudence in Lagos State and by extension, Nigeria.

Born on 26th November, 1958 in Agbowa Ikosi, Lagos State, Pelumi is  a Barrister at Law, seasoned lawmaker, experienced public administrator, public sector manager and a grass root rallying point possessing over 28 years’ experience in legal practice and diverse administration ranging from Property and Criminal Administration, Quality Representation of Constituency, Parliamentary Administration, Project Management, proficiency in Conflict resolution and excellent Human Resources Management.

He was the Honourable Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly from 2nd June 2003 – 29th December 2005.

It would be recalled that the Lagos State LASTMA was enabled by him during his tenure as Speaker, with contributions from Barrister Muiz Banire and some other legal practitioners.
