Daredevil looters and destroyers on rampage during the recent post #Endsars disturbances did not spare the 117- year old Aro Pshychiatric Hospital, Abeokuta where some helpless patients were hauled off their beds while the beddings and other materials were carted away.
With bittering mouth, the hospital’s Chief Medical Director expressed deep regrets at the extent of destruction the hoodlums embarked upon without sparing the ailing inmates.
He also said that for the hospital to be able to carry out any of its functions, government’s immediate intervention would be needed as “every useful item in the hospital was taken away”.
” Even in a theater of war, a hospital should be a safe place. We are surprised at this brazen wickedness”, he lamented.
