UNIJOS Student Commits Suicide Over ASUU Strike

During the weekend, a third year student at the University of Jos committed suicide in protest of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike.

It was discovered that the deceased wrote a short message to his parents on his lifeless body, expressing his displeasure with the present ASUU strike.

According to The Guardian, the deceased, Henry Ehis, was found dead last week at the University’s Faculty of Management Science’s Department of Actuarial Science.

Some residents has said suicide was not the best option.
