Senator Sandy Onor has won the Peoples Democratic Party governorship ticket at the primary in Cross River State.
Onor who represents Cross River Central Senatorial District, polled a total of 236 votes to beat six other aspirants to the ticket for the 2023 governorship election.
The names of the contestant and their votes are; Gershom Bassey -175 votes; Sandy Onor -236 votes; Nkoyo Toyo- four votes; Ima Nsa-Adegoke -one vote; Arthur Jarvis -six votes; Daniel Asuquo -147 votes; Filia Henshaw -two votes; void votes -20; valid votes- 571; and total votes cast- 591.
