Ogun State Government Offers N50m Reward for Information on murder of Director

Following the killing of the former Director of Finance and Administration, Mr. Taiwo Oyekanmi, the Ogun State Government has announced a 50 million naira reward for helpful information to nab the killers.

51-year-old Oyekanmi was attacked by gunmen on November 29 at the Kuto Flyover Bridge in Abeokuta leading to his death.

According to reports, Oyekanmi, along with two others, fell victim to armed hoodlums while returning to the Governor’s Office with a substantial sum withdrawn from two major commercial banks in Abeokuta.

The assailants killed the chartered accountant and made off with significant amount of cash.

Expressing grief, Governor Dapo Abiodun said the impact of the loss on his cabinet is devastating, and he vowed to leave no stones unturned to ensure justice is served,

In an official statement released on Friday, the Ogun State Government declared a reward of N50 million for anyone providing information crucial to the arrest of Oyekanmi’s killers.

“Information provided would be treated with utmost confidentiality.” The statement read in part
