The massive open online course (MOOC) on Introduction to Technology-Enabled Learning (TEL), offered jointly by the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) and Athabasca University, has attracted 3,926 participants from 94 countries.
This was contained in a statement made available by Dr. Obinna Okwelume, COL’s Communications Manager to our correspondent recently in Abuja.
He said the highest number of registrations were from Bangladesh, Barbados, Canada, India, Mauritius, Rwanda and South Africa and 40% of these beneficiaries are female teachers
“The MOOC covered issues related to integrating technology in teaching and learning at secondary education, post-secondary education, and vocational education.
“This five-week course required approximately three to five hours of time per week from the participants and offered flexible options for learning the content to accommodate busy schedules.
