At a crowded and well attended conference of the Lagos State Barbers, Hairdressers and Cosmetologists held at the Lagos State Television premises, Ikeja recently, the Chairman of the Lagos State Motor Mechanics and Technicians Association, Alhaji Maroof Arowolo was given a recognition award and also a title-the Agba Akin Amuludun of Lagos.
Arowolo bagged this award in recognition of his sterling leadership qualities and performance in office since his installation as Chairman of the autotechnicians’ association, as well as his strength of interactions and collaboration with other professional associations and government bodies.
In his acceptance and appreciative speech at the occasion, Arowolo promised to continue to strengthen interactions between MOMTAN and other professional associations as a means of improving well-being and livelihoods for artisans who hitherto had been perceived as failures in the society, as well as bridging the gap created by inadequate interactions and collaborations with government bodies.
