The state police command earlier warned of a security threat to the government during the Ex-Governor last visit advising him to postpone his proposed visit for peace and stability to reign in the state.

Kano State Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Yusuf, made the plea while addressing issues on security adding that Kwankwaso could face the wrath of the law if violence breaks out during his visit.

According to Yusuf “It is the candid view of the police that such a visit should be shelved by Kwankwaso until the tension generated by the planned visit subsides and security in the state is neutralised,” he however, refuse to yield to the warning of the police stating that ‘’nothing would stop him from visiting Kano to meet his constituents’’.

Spokesperson, to the Ex-Governor Binta Sipikin, disclosed that his mission was to visit friends, families and other relations whom he had seen in a long time. She assured the visit will be well coordinated to make it hitch-free and homecoming,”.

In the meantime, Dr. Rabiu Bichi, a former Secretary to the Kano State Government, has warned that Kano state police commissioner would be held responsible if Kwankwaso was attacked during his proposed visit.
