Veteran actor Sadiq Daba has died. Details of his death were not available as at press time but the newsmen confirmed that Daba who played the pivotal inspector Waziri in Kunle Afolayan’s October 1 movie to long time of illness.
Oil magnate Femi Otedola had solved his medical bills last year when he fell sick and was flown oversea.
Daba was a broadcaster who also featured in many legendary productions before he delved into movie roles in the later part of his career.
He also featured in Afolayan’s latest movie Citation.
The veteran actor, Sadiq ,was confirmed to have been struggling with leukemia and prostrate cancer.
Others that assisted him with funds were Azuka Jebose , Soni Irabor etc
In 2015, he won Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor for his role as “Inspector Waziri” in October 1.
