Founder of Daar Communications Plc, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, who recovered from Coronavirus (COVID-19), 12 days after contracting the deadly virus, said all the drugs administered to him in isolation were malaria drugs.
Dokpesi, had been discharged from the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada, after recovering from COVID-19 with two of his grandchildren.
Moreover, about seven of his family members were said to have contracted the deadly virus, including his son, Raymond Dokpesi Jnr, and daughter in-law.
While the media entrepreneur and two of his grandchildren recovered from COVID-19 within 12 days, other members of his family who also contracted the deadly virus are said to be receiving treatment at the UNIABUJA teaching hospital.
The 68-year-old said he was still wondering how Coronavirus was different from malaria. According to him, “Because every medication we were given was malaria medication.
“Before some people were told they were COVID-19 positive, they were tested in reputable laboratories, they were tested in hospitals in Abuja, what they found was that they had a lot of malaria parasites in the blood. So when did malaria become synonymous to COVID-19?,” Dokpesi wondered.
