Abba Kyari’s Arrest Warrant Issued By US Court Surfaces
An arrest warrant for popular Nigerian police officer Abba Kyari has been issued by a US district court.
Kyari gained national headlines after a US district court indicted him for his ties to fraudster Ramon Olorunwa Abass, often known as “Ray Hushpuppi.” Hushpuppi offered Kyari payments in exchange for the arrest of a rival scammer.
Kyari’s arrest warrant has been issued, and FBI agents are on the lookout for him. Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali, ordered an internal probe into the claims leveled against Kyari on Thursday evening. It’s uncertain whether the top cop will be extradited to the United States to face his allegations.
