Fayose’s Son, Lere Olayinka, Others Emerge Winners At Ekiti PDP House Of Rep Primaries

Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti State has held its primaries to choose candidates to contest for the House of Representatives across the federal constituencies on Sunday.

Those who emerged winners include Joju Fayose, son of former Governor Ayodele Fayose, who won the ticket for Ekiti Central Federal Constituency one with 69 votes against his opponent Deji Adeosun who had 9 votes, and the ex-governor’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, who emerged as the PDP candidate for Ekiti Central Federal Constituency two with 54 votes against his opponent Victor who had 45 votes.

Also, a former governorship aspirant, Yinka Akerele, won the party ticket for Ekiti North Federal Constituency one, unopposed. While Babatunde Ajayi polled 63 votes to defeat Funmi Ogun, who had 33 votes in Ekiti north federal constituency two.
