A 40-year-old woman who tested positive for coronavirus was delivered of a baby girl by a team of doctors at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
According to a tweet on LUTH Twitter handle, the baby was delivered on Monday by a team of doctors comprising anaesthetists and nurses, weighing 3.3kg and was said to be in good health.
“A team of LUTH Drs, anaesthetists and nurses delivered a woman with COVID-19 of a baby girl this afternoon.
“40yr old mother and 3.3kg baby are doing fine.
“Our gratitude goes to these gallant men & women & all warriors making the nation proud in the face of this scourge”, the tweet reads.
