COAS pledges support for Tinubu’s administration

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Faruk Yahaya, has reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s loyalty to President Bola Tinubu, during the inauguration of some recently executed projects at the Government Day Secondary School in Malumfashi, Katsina State.

The projects which were executed by the Nigerian Army Headquarters and consisted of two blocks of four classrooms, two staff rooms, an assembly hall, and furniture. Aimed at providing an enabling and safe learning environment for the students, the Chief of Training, Army, Maj. Gen. Sani Mohammed, explained that the work on the projects commenced in February and was completed in May.

During the inauguration ceremony, Lt. Gen. Faruk Yahaya assured President Bola Tinubu of absolute loyalty while also remaining professional in ensuring the President’s vision of a safe and secure Nigeria. He stated that, “the socio-economic activities would continue to thrive” under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.

Yahaya further emphasized that the Nigerian Army will continue offering support in all sectors, including health and infrastructural, within all communities it serves, to enhance the relationship and overall development of Nigeria.

The inauguration projects align the Nigerian Army’s continued commitment to educational development, supporting families of fallen heroes and the provision of necessary infrastructure to host communities. Yahaya revealed that such initiatives will continue to be established by the Nigerian Army to benefit the communities involved, considering the evident impact across various parts of the country.

According to Yahaya, the focus of the Nigerian Army is geared toward support for the nation’s civil authorities, which is critical to the realization of Nigeria’s national security objectives. He further added that the success of these objectives could not be achieved without relevant infrastructural development, particularly in education.

On his part, Maj. Gen. Sani Mohammed explained that the Nigerian Army will continue to execute her duties, with a combination of both kinetic and non-kinetic measures to maintain peace in the country. In his words “We will continue to synergize with all agencies of government and stakeholders to sustain peace and facilitate socio-economic activities in all parts of the country.”
