The Akinlade Mandate Group has reiterated its commitment to ensuring that the mandate they claim had been freely given their gubernatorial candidate in the last elections by the people of Ogun State, is reclaimed.

In a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary, Adeolu Adekoya the group decried the absence of the defendant twice in the court, a situation it described as deliberately halting a process constitutionally applicable for the appellant to fight his case via the tribunal and the judicial system.
Below is the full statement made available to FirstNigeriaNews:
NO MORE EXCUSES; APPEAR AT THE TRIBUNAL.
The Akinlade Mandate Group again will like to restate our commitment to continually take all necessary steps as well as monitor all processes and proceedings to ensure that the mandate freely given to Hon Adekunle Akinlade of the APM by the good people of Ogun State in the last Gubernatorial and State Assembly elections through the ballot is gotten back.
We have observed that Prince Dapo Abiodun and the APC are trying to halt a process constitutionally applicable for us to fight our case via the tribunal and the judicial system. They have deliberately avoided appearing at the tribunal twice now (1st and 9th April, 2019), forming ignorance and giving excuses not to appear at both times.
According to the very popular saying ”JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED ” Thus, Our very simple question is : If the party and their candidate are already not jittery and busy looking for means to cover up their misdeeds, if their acclaimed victory is gotten through a free and fair election process, so why not allow the proceedings at the tribunal go on smoothly as expected? We shall not be discouraged by such flimsy acts, but instead stand our grounds to ensure that justice is done and at the appropriate time too.
The next sitting of the tribunal has been scheduled for Monday, 15th April,2019. We shall be willing to have the answers to our questions (asked and yet unasked) at the said sitting.
Once again, we thank the good people of Ogun State for their continuous support, and we shall regularly bring the details of proceedings at the tribunal to the notice of the general public until our mandate is restored.
Together we can, and together we will win. APM…… movement to victory.
Adeolu Adekoya
Publicity Secretary.
