Motorists have been cautioned to stay away from Maryland area of Lagos as some transmission lines have gone on fire in the area.

Videos seen of the incident showed some cables exploding with flames and fire cutting across the major Ikorodu Road.
Residents and motorists were seen scampering for safety as the fire went wild with no sign of fighters in sight.
It was not clear what caused the fire as at the time of filing this report.
A message sent to the Transmission Company of Nigeria was yet to be responded to as at the time of filing this report.
