Badagry APC: Ambode gets endorsement for second term

The Badagry division of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has endorsed Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode for a second term in office.

The division includes four Local Government Areas, Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Amuwo -Odofin, Ojo, Badagry and six Local Council Development Areas – Iba,  Oriade, Ifelodun, Oto-Awori, Badagry West, and Olorunda.

Mr. Rabiu Oluwa, chairman of the division made the declaration base on what he described as “Ambode’s unprecedented, all-inclusive governance that had scaled up infrastructure development”.

Oluwa said that Ambode was adopted as its sole candidate because of his achievements in the past three years.

According to him, ”Gov. Ambode’s unimaginable performance and commendable zeal for developmental projects have been visible in every nook and crannies of the state, especially in Badagry division”.

He added that the division had benefitted in the programmes and policies of Gov. Ambode led-administration stating that the division declared its support for his re-election so that he can continue to make the division and Lagos an enviable state in the country.

Oluwa urged residents to be part of the Continuous Voter Registration, CVR, exercise being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission( INEC), he said that their voter’s card remains their weapon with which they can use to support continuity of good government.

Speaking on behalf of the LGA and LCDA Chairmen, Mr. Abdul-Fatai Ajidagba of Ajeromi-Ifelodun said that Ambode’s performance in office had made the state a reference point in the comity of States in Nigeria.

However, The Deputy Governor, Dr. Idiat Adebule, who received the endorsement letter on behalf of Ambode appreciated the endorsers adding that ”The endorsement will motivate the governor to continue to prioritize the growth and development of the state.

Present at the declaration were former deputy governor of the state, Princess Sarah Sosan, former Lagos  Head of Service, Sani Ajose, former Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, Commissioner for Agriculture and Cooperatives, Oluwatoyin Suarau, Special Adviser to Governor Ambode on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Aramide Giwanson and  Lagos State Commissioner for Finance, Akinyemi Ashade.
