The latest DISCOVERY, in the series of CORRUPTION committed by the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, REVEALS his HUSHPUPPY-styled FLEECING of the Nigerian Treasury.
Catalogued in a special edition of First News, an online News platform, as exposed by the DSS, the moneys alleged to have been stashed away, by Emefiele, in over 500 different accounts can give you a heart attack.
To begin with, according to the DSS, Emefiele is alleged to be running TWO FOREIGN RESERVES account; the Nigerian government is NOT AWARE of.
Contained in a security report, the State Security Service Chief, Yusuf Bichi, submitted to the President, the FRESH allegations against the CBN Governor, are ALARMING!
To cover his tracks, last week Wednesday, Emefiele is said to have OBTAINED a fresh Court INJUNCTION, using a Civil society organization (CSO), from a federal high court BARRING the DSS from QUESTIONING officials of the CBN and CEOs of 27 banks on foreign exchange allocations from 2017 to date.
Presided by Judge S. B. Belgore, in Abuja, the court adjourned Hearing of the motion on notice on the matter till January 25.

Why would he want the court to prevent the DSS from MERELY asking other people QUESTIONS concerning their connection to the HEIST he and his accomplices have been treating themselves to; at the expense of Nigeria and Nigerians…
Anyway, back to our story…
Unknown to him, however, the DSS had already QUESTIONED the bank CEOs; while he was away (in temporary self exile) or Leave, as the case may be.
Afraid for their Lives and dignity, the NERVOUS Financial Fat Cats would have CUT A DEAL with the DSS; to SPILL the BEANS!
In the course of this, DSS got 12 more fresh evidence to NAIL Emefiele.
Providing documents to back their claims, CBN External Auditors who have been working for the apex bank in the past six years, “gave evidence under caution.”
HARD EVIDENCE AGAINST EMEFIELE
- CBN Governor is alleged to have PAID external auditors to PREPARE “doctored audit reports”; which the federal government has been RELYING upon.
- The Ways and Means APPROVAL requested by the finance Minister, was ACTUALLY in the region of N23.7 trillion; AS AGAINST the N7.3 trillion; PRESENTED to the National Assembly.
- Emefiele is ALLEGED to have DIVERTED the $3.7 billion, IMF COVID 19 palliative given to Nigerian government,; to CUSHION the effects of the pandemic.
He didn’t even have the COURTESY of INFORMING the federal government about it. He is ALLEGED to have cleverly but quietly diverted the money to an account in CHINA!
It was IMF’s DEMAND for an ACKNOWLEDGEMENT letter, from the finance minister, that busted Emefiele’s bubble; on that account.
Smart guy, he told the Minister, he INVESTED the money for Nigeria! Like seriously!
The finance minister, also WANTED a piece of the pie. She DEMANDED for $700 million out of the money; to OFFSET Staff salary.
I laugh in Hindi.
Please, help me ask our beautiful lady Minister, if she was PAYING the whole of Nigeria’s labor workforce; including Labor Congress… Lol. - According to the DSS, the MUCH-VAUNTED Treasury Single Account (TSA) is a PHANTOM DEVICE by Emefiele to DECEIVE the federal government and Nigerians.
The DSS discovery REVEALED that THERE’S NOTHING LIKE TSA anywhere. It ALLEGEDLY EXISTS, only in Emefiele’s ORBIT. - The SECOND FOREIGN RESERVES account, the government is NOT AWARE of has about $47 billion.
- Under DSS pressure, the Big Boys Bank CEOs, CONFESSED; that the CBN boss ALLEGEDLY DIRECTED all commercial bank CEOs to give an ANNUAL POCKET MONEY of N30 billion. Only a NEWLY established bank (name withheld) allegedly paid Emefiele the LEAST sum of N5 billion.
Why won’t the bank fat cat CEOs have such EXTRAS to spare for the CBN Governor, when VIRTUALLY all of them are SWIMMING in the SEA of STAMP DUTY TRILLIONS!
There is so much more HARD EVIDENCE the DSS has UNEARTHED against the CBN Governor.
My take…
A seasoned banker who got into the banking sectors in the 90s, Emefiele knows all the corners, CLEAN and CROOKED- of the banking and finance sector in Nigeria.
He knows EXACTLY what to say; when to say it; and how to say it; to CONVINCE his Principal/Client to ACHIEVE his objectives.
Where his client is not on the exactly BRIGHT side, his ‘Chrismas’ comes early…
He will run rings around such a client till he MILKS him dry.
In this case, he is LUCKY to have a Mohammadu Buhari as President and Principal.
Once he speaks that his CBN grammar, I can imagine everybody in the Villa including and especially Buhari, giving him kudos… Hahaha!
Recall our famous Hushpuppy, who FLEECED countries and foreign nationals of their money to make the kind of millions he made in dollars…
Up until he was CAUGHT he was a superstar on Instagram and on social media. To many, he MADE SENSE!
Bernie Madoff, the finance guru, was virtually WORSHIPPED at the altar of global finance. But he was a fraud; and his scheme, the most unimaginable SCAM ever. He ran nations bankrupt.
We are just lucky that Nigeria has limitless well of national wealth. Otherwise, the schemes and scams being perpetrated against our national PATRIMONY would have rendered Nigeria WRETCHED!
Anyway, I hope we can now BELIEVE the Hon. Gudaji Kazaure story on the CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele.
I hope, you now know that the naira REDESIGN may not ACTUALLY be for the ADVERTISED objectives for which it was designed.
I hope, you now know that ANYTHING, Emefiele says, in policy or CBN directive, ULTIMATELY serves to BENEFIT him and his collaborators.
I hope you now believe me, when I say, all those DEFENDING and SUPPORTING this guy are doing so for their pockets; and NOT for Nigeria or the people.
Based on this DAMNING evidence, the CBN Governor was said to have had a closed door meeting with Buhari,late last week.
I hope Buhari will do the NEEDFUL and SAVE his government and Nigeria this COLOSSAL national embarrassment.
Finally, why Emefiele seems to have developed the nine Lives of a cat, may be because virtually all in Buhari’s administration and virtually anyone that is ANYBODY in this country are in on the CBN Governor’s DIRTY DEALS on Nigeria.
If a Nasir El Rufai, serving Governor of a State that is suffering from lack of funds to power budgets, can be AIDING and ABETTING Emefiele’s RASCALITY and CORRUPTION, you should have an idea the level and cadre of people behind Emefiele.
The message is clear now. The Emefiele heist has EXPOSED the so called people we call elite in Nigeria.
In the end, Nigerians MUST APPRECIATE the DSS DG, Yusuf Bichi, for his DOGGEDNESS to EXPOSE the GRANDFATHER OF ALL CORRUPTION; in Nigeria.
This is supposed to be an EFCC responsibility; but you and I know, the young man heading that agency DARES not LOOK in Emefiele’s direction; because the CBN Governor is a VERY GOOD friend of the attorney general, Abubakar Malami; the man who INFLUENCED his becoming the country’s anti corruption chief.
