one of the most populous Muslim prayer gatherings in the FCT, Sheikh Muhammad Nuru Khalid has said that all Nigerians, and especially the country’s leader, President Muhammadu Buhari, have failed Nigeria.
An emboldened preacher of the Word and an Islamic scholar whom many of different strides in life had reverence for, dropped the bomb-like message without fear or expectation of intimidation from the corridors of incumbent power and influence.
A good number of clerics of varied religion types – Christianity, Islam and the African Traditional Religions in today Nigeria, have fallen deeply short of such glory either because they were on the payrolls of governments and their bodies or they strictly were businessmen in clerical appearances who would not want their goldmines tampered with by a possibly overbearing government.
Sheikh Khalid simply and vigorously bared his mind even in a fashion that did not suggest that he was a tribal or religious bigot, a phenomenon that earned him credit.
