The Women’s Rights and Health Project (WRAHP), a non-government organisation pursuing the attainment of the establishment of due rights for women, children and the physically challenged recently held one of its series of town hall meetings at the premises of the Alimosho Local Government Council, Lagos.
Participants at the event included representatives of women’s groups, the physically challenged, civil society, government and journalists.
The programme was designed to assist in tackling Sexual and Gender-Based Violence scourge in Alimosho, the largest LGA in Lagos State.
WRAHP organised the event as one of a series of activities with support from the EU- funded Rule of Law and Anti-corruption (RoLAC) programme managed by the British Council in Nigeria.
This one of the series focused on collating experiences of the physically challenged in sexual and gender-based violence and proffering solutions to alleviate the scourge.
