Corrupt Nigerian government officials have now formed a habit of collapsing when charged or made to face trials for theft.

Some months ago, July 20, 2020, precisely, the Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Prof. Kemebradikumo Pondei, convulsed and lost consciousness while a House of Representatives member probing the misuse of N81 billion interrogated him.

In a related development, on Thursday, December 10, 2020, the Former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), Abdulrasheed Maina, collapsed in court while being prosecuted on a 12-count charge bordering on fraud and money laundering.

Maina has however been on the run since 2015 and has done his best to evade trial, since the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) slammed money laundering charges to the tune of N2 billion on him.

Let us wait and see who will act the next movie script even as these corrupt politicians are being exposed one after the other.
