The Lagos State Governor recently visited the areas where hoodlums caused destruction of lives and property to assess the extent of damage done, work on compensation for affected citizens and warn criminals to desist henceforth from such acts or face the wrath of the law.
FirstNigeriaTV gathered from eye witnesses that the destruction at Fagba started when the Hausa-Fulani traders got to the area with their wares and were denied passage towards their destination.
They were forced to stop while some other hoodlums started seizing the goods they were transporting. This led to fights which eventually caused large scale destruction and killings.
The Hausa-Fulani people were reported to have, after the initial collusion, gone to their base to rearm and revisited the area to cause more harm.
