Officials of the Kimberly Clark Foundation/WaterAid Nigeria; Lagos State Ministry of Environment; Journalists; Ikorodu North LG/Ojodu LCDA/HUFFPED/Bread of Life functionaries recently converged on Amber Residence, Ikeja for a three-day workshop tagged: “Kimberly Clark Advocacy and Communications Planning Workshop, Lagos State”.

The workshop held to commence activities targeted at sustainably solving the Lagos water, sanitation and hygiene problems.

Kimberly Clark, with facilitation by WaterAid, is employing the WASH initiative to assist Lagos in this dimension, starting with Ikorodu North Local Government and the Ojodu Local Council Development Area.

The idea is for the implementing partners to functionally establish the projects in the two pilot local councils so that the Lagos State Government could further use its apparatus to continue the work in all the other local councils of the state.

Resource persons that delivered papers at the occasion included: Head, Advocacy, Planning and Communication, WaterAid Nigeria, Kolawole Banwo; Project Manager, Kimberly Clark, Nanbam Michael; Head, Media and Communications, WaterAid, Seyi Abdulmalik; National Coordinator, WASH Journalists Network, Wale Elekolusi and Lagos State Chairman, WASH Journalists, Michael Simire.

A major highlight at the occasion was the inauguration and induction of members of Lagos State WASH Media.
