Incumbent Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Akeredolu recently rounded off his electoral campaign for second term at his homestead, Owo.
Thousands of APC faithful and his loyal supporters at home base trooped out to show solidarity and support for their kinsman intending to contest the seat with other contenders.
Reliable sources also told FirstNigeriaTV that pandemonium struck yesterday in Owo as the PDP gubernatorial candidate Eyitayo Jegede came to the town to seek the people’s support for his election as the next governor of the state.
Gunmen who spectators claimed were APC thugs shot sporadically at the venue of the meeting leading to several people sustaining serious injuries, although reports did not claim any lives were lost.
