The young lady in the above video who simply referred to herself as Sandra was conspicuous at the recent peaceful demonstration by Gokada Riders at the Lagos Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.
She claimed to be studying Accountancy at the prestigious Yaba College of Technology and currently on Industrial Attachment as Rider with Gokada ( a sign of the times in Nigeria, if you’ll agree with me).
Said she: ” I came into this job because I searched everywhere to get something gainful doing but I couldn’t lay my hands on any. I decided to opt for this job that secures me not less than N20,000 daily rather than wake up at 8am and pay heavily for transport to attend a job that’ll pay me the same N20,000 monthly. I used proceeds from this job to train myself through O.N.D and still depend on it for furthering on my H.N.D. Please, let Lagos State Government regulate us, not ban us”.
