President Bola Tinubu celebrated Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi’s 48th birthday on Wednesday with warm wishes for the monarch’s continued health and leadership.

In a statement titled ‘President Tinubu celebrates Oba Elegushi on birthday,’ Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, conveyed the President’s felicitations to Oba Elegushi, his family, friends, well-wishers, and the people of Ikate kingdom.

Oba Saheed Ademola, the 21st Elegushi of the Ikate-Elegushi Kingdom, was born on April 10, 1976. He hails from the Kusenla Ruling House of Ikateland in Lagos State, succeeding his father, the late Oba Yekini Adeniyi Elegushi, who reigned from 1991 to 2009.

Having received the staff of office from the Lagos State Government on April 27, 2010, Oba Elegushi has diligently served his people, using his prior experience as Personal Assistant to President Bola Tinubu during his tenure as Lagos State Governor (1999–2007) and as Senior Special Assistant to his successor, Babatunde Fashola (2007-2015).

President Tinubu applauded Oba Elegushi’s commitment to the welfare of his people since his coronation and his efforts in fostering beneficial relationships nationwide, which have bolstered support for government initiatives.
