By May 29, this year, Nigeria under President Muhammadu Buhari, would’ve spent six straight years frolicking in the absolutely insane, irrelevant and stupid talk about cattle.

And welfare of foreign Fulani herdsmen. Whether such artifact from the stone-age had right or not to annex forests, with active support from The Presidency which’s even enthusiastic in volunteering for debasement. Yet, President Buhari, jetted out to France to attend summit with nations serious and clear-eyed enough to tuck cattle-talk and ruga, including even elevated cattle issues like ranching, into the obscure corner of development to which it rightly belongs. A responsible govt granted imported criminals masquerading as herdsmen privilege to terrorise and kill farmers in farms and rape any woman in sight. And the same govt shed crocodile tears when consequence of foolish mischief reverberated in food shortage and sky-rocketting prices of foodstuff. Discerning folks’ll waist no precious effort to wonder why country’s economy went wonky in next-level? Or why it deteriorated to extent govt started to juggle myths and lies about recovery, not forgetting under-hand printing of naira to stabilize shortfalls ? Six straight, not “corner-corner” years of cattle-talk, including state support for most intoxicating foolishness, inevitabilably delivered a virtually-commatose economy which more cattle-talk promised to eventually bury, thanks to uncompromising fascination of establishment with more cattle-talk !
