Godswill Akpabio, the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for the position of Senate President, met with President Bola Tinubu on Monday at the State House in Abuja.
Also in attendance was Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, who had been appointed by the President to resolve the leadership tussle for the position.
Akpabio expressed optimism for his victory as, according to him, he enjoys the support of “over 90 per cent of people supporting the choice of the party.” As the election for the Senate President’s seat is set to take place tomorrow.
The former Akwa Ibom governor who was adopted as the candidate of the ruling party, APC, for the Senate President’s position said he has unwavering confidence of an imminent victory.
