
President Mohammed Buhari yesterday called off the meeting scheduled with governors of the All Progressive Congress at the presidential villa in Abuja.
The meeting which was expected to discuss issues bordering on happenings in the respective APC-controlled states and others relating to the upcoming 2023 general elections could not hold despite that the attending state chief executives had arrived at the presidential villa on Tuesday.
The governors later got informed that the meeting could no longer hold but no official reason was given for the cancellation of the meeting.
Word also came that the President’s activities for the day had been scheduled to end earlier than usual, as he was meant to depart for Belgium later the same day for Europe-African Union summit.
Despite the cancellation of the meeting, Governors Uzodinma and Bello of Imo and Kogi states respectively we’re opportune to have separate private audiences with the President on matters concerning their individual states.
