The Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu, is meeting with the Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) at its Headquarters in Abuja.
According to the information released via the Commission’s verified Twitter handle @inecnigeria, the agenda of the meeting includes a review of the conduct of presidential and National Assembly elections held on Saturday, February 23.
The RECs are expected to share their experiences, the challenges encountered, and the lessons learnt at the poll.
The meeting also has on the agenda discussions on the preparation for the governorship, State House of Assembly and FCT elections coming up on March 9, 2019.
Yakubu, during his brief speech at the opening ceremony said: “We are here to review the just-concluded elections in the country and at the end of the meeting, we will issue our findings.”
