Police Arrests Salisu Alongside Nine Others For Dealing In Illegal Drug

The Jigawa State Police Command, on Wednesday, said the command had arrested Mahdi Salisu, 33 year old of Taura town, alongside nine other suspected criminals for an allege drug dealing, the arrest was led by SP Yohana Babale as a raid on criminal hideouts and black spots at Unguwar Gabas in Taura Local Government Area of the state was carried out.

The Command’s Spokesperson, DSP Shiisu Adam, said it was “part of the deliberate efforts of the Command to rid the state of crimes and criminality.”

DSP Adam listed the names of the nine suspects arrested during the raid to be, Isah Saleh age 22 years (M), Usman Hassan age 25 years(M), and Dahiru Sama’ila age 20 years(M), all of Manlafiya Kaugama LGA.

Others were Usman Nasiru age 20 years (M), of Rigar Garin Baushe Gagarawa Division, Yusufa Usman age 18 years (M) of Dugunu Gujungu Taura LGA, Ali Ado age 30 years (M), and Garba Wada age 20 years (M), all of Gambayi Nomi Village, Hassan Muhammad age 20 years (M) of Bela Gagarawa LGA, and Nura Haruna age 20 years (M) of Jimfi Kaugama LGA.

The Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Police Command, CP Aliyu Tafida, noted that raids on criminal hideouts and black spots would continue in the entire state, twice in a week after intelligence gathering, and he also appreciated the effort of the Divisional Police Officer, Taura and his team.

Furthermore, he added that at the end of a thorough investigation, all the suspects would be charged to court, he also call on all The other officers in the command to be committed and a lot more dedicated until all criminals and their cohorts were completely wiped out from the state.
