Prominent Nigerian apostolic leader and founder of the Ministers Prayer Network (MPN), Rev. Prof. Mosy Madugba, has alleged that former President Olusegun Obasanjo allocated oil wells to prominent Nigerian pastors based in Lagos, including the founders of Winners Chapel, RCCG and Deeper Life Bible Church.

Madugba made the claim in a video that has gone viral on social media, where he suggested that the alleged allocations contributed to the massive investments, institutions and wealth associated with the religious leaders.

He specifically named three of the country’s most influential church leaders:

Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church, popularly known as Winners Chapel, Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi of Deeper Christian Life Ministry

According to Madugba, the alleged beneficiaries have been able to establish universities, big hospitals, schools and other educational institutions across the country, while Oyedepo and Adeboye also own private jets.

While addressing his congregation, Madugba urged people to surround themselves with knowledgeable individuals and to continuously work towards improving their abilities and capacity.

He said:
“Associate with the wise. Choose a wise company. To be a leader, I pray that God will open your eyes to show you what things to do to increase your capacity as a human being.

I don’t know whether you know that the big names you have in Lagos have oil wells. Obasanjo gave them oil wells. The head of Winners Chapel has an oil well.

Adeboye has an oil well, and one other person, Kumuyi, has an oil well. They have universities. They have big hospitals. They have schools. And except Kumuyi, they have private jets.”

The clergyman further alleged that Obasanjo, while in office, extended similar privileges to some of his kinsmen in the Niger Delta, enabling them to accumulate significant wealth and enjoy enormous wealth.

However, he did not provide any documentary evidence to support the claims, and the allegations have not been independently verified. As of the time of filing this report, neither former President Obasanjo nor any of the named pastors had responded to the allegations.
