The Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo today presided over the Federal Executive Council meeting at which President Muhammad Buhari was absent. According to reports, the meeting actually took off when it was realised that the President was not available at scheduled time which necessitated the Vice President to preside over the meeting.
Details of discussions were not available immediately but the expectation is that stakeholders would make deliberations available to journalists later.
It is noteworthy that today’s FEC meeting would be the first unattended by the President since his return from sojourn in the United Kingdom.
