Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has gone into self-isolation to contain the spread of the Coronavirus in the country.
Prof. Osinbajo’s spokesman, Mr. Laolu Akande, confirmed this via a tweet on Tuesday night.
Akande said the Vice President has been conducting his meetings via video conferencing while observing social distancing.
He wrote: “VP Osinbajo yesterday at the office conducted his meetings via video conferencing, while observing social distancing. Today, he continues his work from the home office, as he is in self-isolation in accordance with NCDC protocols.”
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has repeatedly called for self-quarantine as a precautionary tool in stopping the further spread of the virus.
