One person was reported to have been killed in Bayelsa State as violence erupted while the Peoples Democratic Party was conducting its primary for the House Representatives and state Houses of Assembly elections on Sunday.
Report has it that the violence happened at Constituency One in the Ogbia Local Government Area as a man identified as Michael Isaiah, nicknamed ‘Tompolo’, was reportedly shot dead, over a heated argument on the validity of the delegates list to be used for voting in the constituency, which resulted in sporadic shootings.
Reacting to the incident, an aspirant for the Ogbia Federal Constituency ticket of the PDP, Daniel Iworiso-Markson, condemned the killing.
