NSCDC distributes petrol from illegal marketers

Following the seizure carried out by anti-vandal and surveillance team of Kwara State division of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)  in collaboration with state task force team on control, monitoring and sale of petroleum products, the NSCDC has distributed over 2,000 litres of seized petrol from black marketers in Ilorin, the state capital.

NSCDC state commandant, Mr. Adeyinka Ayinla, said The commodity was in seventy units of 25-litre plastic kegs and jerry cans, including funnel and buckets allegedly used by the black marketers in their illegal trade, stating that it was seized from oil black marketers at Zango area of the metropolis in December last year

NSCDC boss explained that the free distribution of the petroleum products was enforced based on court order secured from the state high court.

He warned individuals and dealers to desist from illegal deal of petroleum product or they will be dealt with according to provisions of the existing laws. According to him, the product was intercepted across various parts of the North-Central state.
