Ekiti State Government has assured residents in the State , particularly Ado Ektit, the State capital, of safety of their lives and property following an explosion that occurred at the Explosives Ordinance Disposal (EOD) office at the Old Governor’s office complex in Ado Ekiti.
The State Commissioner for Information and Values Orientation, Aare Muyiwa Olumilua confirmed that initial on the spot assessment revealed that there was no casualty and the area had been secured, adding that government and all relevant security agencies are on top of the situation.
Olumilua advised members of the public to go about their lawful businesses stressing that there was no need to panic.
