The Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC) in solidarity with the striking Academic Staff Union of Universities(ASUU) has begun a protest in Ikeja Lagos.
Labour union members, civil society groups and other unions gathered at under bridge axis in Ikeja while vehicular movements towards the protest venue were disrupted.
Heavy security operatives of all kinds were at the venue to prevent breach or attack on the protesters by thugs.
