Nefarious Fulani Kidnaper, Iskilu Wakili has broken his silence after being detained by the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC).
The nefarious warlord is alleged to have been the kingpin of notorious acts like raping, kidnapping and killing of innocent citizens in ibarapa axis of Oyo state.
Newsmen confirmed that Wakili was rushed to the hospital for checkups shortly after handed to police by the OPC. He was discharged on Monday from the hospital.
In a short interview with Journalists, after being freed about the claim brought against him, Wakili disclosed that he was still in a state of fear when he was confronted and apprehended by those he thought were Amotekun operatives but later realized to be men of the OPC.
Wakili also denied committing any of the crimes listed against him, disclosing that he just returned from Cotonou a few days ago to treat a personal ailment before he was detained by the OPC security Operatives.
Wakili was silent without any form of beating or mishandling by the OPC members but disclosed that they took him to the police station after being detained.
Wakili also said that he was once a victim of abductions also as two of his children were kidnapped and he had to pay ransom before they were freed.
Speaking at the same venue, the Oyo State Police Commissioner, CP Ngozi Onadeko informs members of the public not to take the law into their hands but come to the police with any credible evidence they may have against Wakili.
She vowed that the case will be treated with maximum professionalism but informed the public to stop ethnic characterization of criminal cases.
Whereas, the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde on Monday said that he is aware of all developments concerning the nab of the suspected Fulani warlord, Iskilu Wakili.
The Governor In a twitter post added that he is aware of steps already taken by the police on the matter, appealed to the people of Oyo to remain peaceful and go about their legitimate businesses.
