A London-based magazine, The Economist, has denied allegation on publication claiming that Nigerians have shown an extraordinary level of patience with President Muhammadu Buhari.
The alleged publication which reads ‘The Unprecedented Level of Patience Shown to Buhari’ has been making rounds on the social media and on some websites in the country, and beyond.
Mr. Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, who quoted a letter written and signed by Rosenthal dated Jan.18, said the Africa Editor of the magazine, Jonathan Rosenthal dismissed the publication.
According to Rosenthal “The article with the headline was not written nor published by The Economist. Any claims connecting it to The Economist are false.”
Meanwhile, the Presidency has urged Nigerians to be watchful and cautious about any kind of information they share, especially in a period when lots of bogus news abound.
