The Federal Government of Nigeria runs several major digital training schemes for youth, headlined by the Digital Training Academy (DTA), which has provided 32,000 free, government-funded learning licenses on platforms like Coursera and Pluralsight, alongside the Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA) offering over 58 free self-paced online courses.

- Funding & Scale: Backed by an over ₦10.5 billion federal commitment to fund 32,000 professional certificates.
- Core Subjects: Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, cybersecurity, cloud computing, fintech, software development, and quantum computing.
- Access: Delivered digitally with physical training centers set up nationwide featuring internet and learning devices.
- Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA):
- Scope: National digital learning and incubation platform run by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, with nearly 240,000 youth trained.
- Offerings: Free self-paced modules in technology, business, entrepreneurship, creative industries, and leadership, linked directly to NiYA Jobs, NiYA Gigs, and NiYA Startup Pitch.
- BOI & FMYD Youth Empowerment Pilot:
- Scope: A partnership between the Bank of Industry and the Federal Ministry of Youth Development delivering vocational and digital training through Sapphital and NiYA.
- Youth and Students in Innovation (YSI):
- Scope: Run by the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science & Technology to transition student tech prototypes into market-ready enterprises through virtual and zonal bootcamp phases.
